At 5mg per treat and flavored with all-natural peanut butter, your pup is sure to love them, too.

Sunset Lake’s CBD Dog Treats are a blend of carefully-dosed full-spectrum CBD oil, oat flour, peanut butter, pumpkin purée, Vitamin E for a healthier coat, and a pinch of salt and make a tasty snack for bold pups and old hounds alike.

We recommend giving your dog CBD Dog Treats proportionate to their weight. For example, if your dog weighs:

• 0 – 15 pounds, give them 0.5 treat at a time
• 15 – 30 pounds, give them 1 treat at a time
• 30 – 50 pounds, give them 1.5 treats at a time
• 50 – 70 pounds, give them 2 treats at a time
• 70 – 90 pounds, give them 2.5 treats at a time
• 90+ pounds, give them 3+ treats at a time

Note that if you have a large dog breed (90+ pounds) consider Sunset Lake’s CBD Pet Bundle so that you can supplement the CBD Dog Treats with the more cost-effective 600mg Full Spectrum CBD Pet Oil.

When to use CBD Dog Treats

When you give your dog their CBD Dog Treats really depends on what you’re trying to accomplish.

Stiffness or pain: If your older dog has joint pain you can give your dog CBD Dog Treats continually throughout the day as needed (about every 4 – 6 hours.) Or, if you know that your dog is about to be physically active, you can give them a treat an hour before the activity to reduce your pup’s pain. Don’t exceed more than four doses per day.

Anxiety: If your dog can’t stand the thought of being away from you, try giving them a CBD Dog treat(s) an hour before you leave the house so that they may acclimate to the CBD while you’re still at home.

Stress: If you know that you have a stressful event like a thunderstorm or fireworks coming up, give your dog CBD Dog Treat(s) an hour beforehand to help keep them calm.

STORAGE DIRECTIONS

To maintain your CBD Dog Treats’ freshness, store the closed bag in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. We do recommend refrigeration, but it is not necessary.

When properly stored, your CBD Dog Treats will maintain their CBD potency. Expiration dates will be stamped on the exterior of the bag.

FAQ

Are there side effects?

Because there is little research into animal CBD use, veterinarians can extrapolate potential animal side effects based on how CBD affects humans. The best way to avoid any of the following side effects is to consult with your pet’s vet. Based on your pet’s weight, condition, and current medications, they will have better insight into whether or not CBD may be helpful for your animal.

Is CBD Legal?

Our CBD Dog Snacks are a legal product as far as the State of Vermont is concerned. Your state may have local laws that are more restrictive regarding CBD-infused edible products, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t order CBD from Sunset Lake CBD and have it shipped directly (and discreetly) to your door.

Are hemp and CBD the same thing?

Hemp and CBD are not the same things. Hemp is a broader term for cannabis plants that contain a limited or trace amount of THC. CBD is the name of a cannabinoid that can be produced by hemp plants.

For instance, the CBD that Sunset Lake CBD infuses into our CBD Dog Treats comes from hemp plants, but it accounts for only a fraction of the larger hemp plant.
